Hi, my name is Shanice and I am a recent graduate from Stanford's Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program. While at Stanford, I conducted a capstone study investigating the barriers to inclusion in the PA profession experienced by underrepresented minorities. Also, during my time at Stanford I provided many pre-PA students with consultations, essay editing, and mock interview practice, who have now matriculated into PA school (Duke, UC Davis, USC, Stanford, etc).
Before attending PA school, I worked at NorthBay Medical Center as an Emergency Room scribe for 3 years. Additionally, I worked at Napa Valley Care Center as a certified nursing assistant for 2 years. I graduated with a B. A. in Chemistry from University of California, Berkeley with highest honors. During my undergraduate experience, I spent time in a melanoma lab researching the in the structural characterization of IC3 analogs, less invasive anti-cancer agents, via binding studies using in silico models. Simultaneously, I spent time teaching nutrition, math, science, and literacy in the local community.
I am looking forward to helping you achieve your goals :)
*I also was offered interviews at Touro University, Western University, Samuel Merritt University, and Loma Linda University
